NEWS : BRIDGE 9 RECORDS - 2 neue Signings

BRIDGE 9 stell mit FOUNDATION und MOTHER OF MERCY 2 neue Familienmitglieder vor.
Hier das offizielle Statement von BRIDGE 9:

Bridge Nine is excited to welcome one of the hardest bands coming out of Pennsylvania, Mother of Mercy to the roster. Formed in the Spring of 2007 and featuring ex members of Let Down, Mother of Mercy plays contemporary metallic hardcore that draws some of the best elements of 90's 'core with a well-executed tinge of metal. Their music is raw, abrasive and dark - highly influenced by Samhain, Undertow and Obituary - and a welcomed addition to the B9 family. Mother of Mercy's vocalist, Bob Wilson, said "...we're excited to be on the label, to play with different bands, tour exotic places and be label mates with Striking Distance."

Mother of Mercy has spent the last several years on the road alongside bands like Comeback Kid, Dead Swans, Cruel Hand, Title Fight, Foundation, Alpha & Omega, and playing staple hardcore festivals like United Blood, This Is Hardcore, and Sound and Fury. With several prior releases including the No Eden 7" and critically acclaimed III that was released last year on Six Feet Under Records and hailed as one of ScenePointBlank's "favorite records of the year", Mother of Mercy's upcoming Bridge Nine debut full length will be nothing less than stellar. Expect the band to hit the studio early this summer and stay tuned for details on a full-length release later in 2010.

Things are busy here at Bridge Nine and we are more than excited to announce another addition to our roster - Atlanta's Straight Edge Hardcore stalwarts Foundation. No strangers to to the road, Foundation has been seen on tour all over the country; most notably with Bane and on Have Heart's final string of shows last Fall. B9 Owner Chris Wrenn said, "We couldn't be happier to sign Foundation - these guys have been working hard over the last few years and officially caught our attention last summer when we were all blown away by their live show. It's important for us as a label to have a solid, straight edge hardcore band and Foundation is the best band in that genre right now. Champion and Have Heart did great things for Bridge Nine in the past decade and after their demise we are excited to pass the torch over to Foundation."

Get ready to hear new material from the band that Deoymusic.com coined as "...pure, unadulterated hardcore with vicious breakdowns, pummeling rhythms, and gruff vocals, replete with shout-outs to straight edge and a little hometown pride..." soon and be sure to check the band out at the United Blood Fest in Richmond, VA this weekend and on tour throughout May and June.
